Certainly a leading candidate for the title of the greatest racing driver the world has ever seen , this is ‘Nivola’ – the Italian legend Tazio Nuvolari.  Here he is on the starting grid for the 1938 Donington Grand Prix which he would win in his works Auto Union. He embodied all the attributes of the Real Racer, and his exploits provided another fine example I always hoped to emulate. Within the motor sporting world he was the absolute superstar!
