A non-Championship Formula 1 race that I never contested – because it always clashed with Goodwood on Easter Monday – was the round-the-houses Pau GP in southern France. This lovely shot shows Jean Behra in his works-entered Maserati 250F ‘Lightweight’ on the way to winning there in 1957.
